FDA/CE Policies and limitations of liability.

Please read through the various points below. These considerations constitute an understanding
between FDA/CE and all customers. If you have any questions, please let us know at: m-vickers@comcast.net .

1. Certification issues:

2. "Read for CE" issues:

Certification issues:

• FDA/CE operates under agreement with the Board of Allied Mental Health Professions, Division of Regulation and the Massachusetts Association for Marriage & Family Therapy, Inc., in Massachusetts. In Rhode Island, FDA/CE operates in agreement with the Rhode Island Association for Marriage & Family Therapy, Inc. FDA/CE operational guidelines meet the criteria of these organizations.

• Other state agencies regulating MFT licensure that accept AAMFT national or AAMFT state division approvals, will accept FDA/CE approvals, as FDA/CE certification brings along MAMFT and RIAMFT approval. Check with us for updates.

• FDA/CE has researched the CE regulations in every US state where MFT licensing has been enacted, and has made every effort to be accurate and thorough. Our programs are based on our best understanding of these regulations. We cannot guarantee anything that is beyond our control. Specifically, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of our interpretation of regulations, cannot guarantee that changes have not been enacted since our most recent reviews, and cannot guarantee that decisions and rulings of regulatory agencies will be as we expect.

• Each FDA/CE customer is urged to independently check CE regulations in any state in which they have an interest.

Our guarantee: if any FDA/CE certification is ever denied by any regulatory agency in any jurisdiction for which we have collected a fee for certification, FDA/CE will refund that fee in full. Full refund of the collected fee will constitute the limit of our liability.

Refund policy: FDA/CE cannot refund any certification or co-sponsorship fees once that certification or co-sponsorship has been provided to the customer. If however FDA/CE's certification or co-sponsorship is denied in any jurisdiction for which a fee has been collected, a full refund of that fee, pro-rated for the denying jurisdiction, will be given. The fee refund will constitute the limit of FDA/CE's liability.

"Read for CE" issues:

Purchase of books: All FDA/CE fees are for exams, exam scoring and CE certification only. Registrants obtain books and articles separately, on their own. FDA/CE provides a link to internet book sellers for the registrant's convenience, only. Where copyright permits, journal articles or book chapters are made available for immediate download.

• Each registrant for "Read for CE" is responsible for knowing and satisfying their state's CE regulations. See our home page for links to your state's regulations.

• Availability of exams: Many exams are available for immediate download once the CE fee has been paid in full. In other cases, exams will be mailed in printed hard copy, usually within 2 business days. In some cases are under contract to be written and are not immediately available. The expected availability date is provided along with other exam information. Please see our Refund Policy for information about canceling an order.

• Exam authors: All exams are written either by the books' actual author or another senior MFT, usually an AAMFT Approved Supervisor or other experienced MFT instructor. If you are interested in writing exams for FDA/CE, please contact us. We are usually in need of exam authors. Exam authors are compensated for the exams they produce for FDA/CE.

• Re-taking exams: If you do not pass your CE exams you may re-take the exam any number of times until you pass. Some additional fees may apply. You will receive a letter from FDA/CE stating your score and describing your options. FDA/CE reserves the right to charge up to $15.00 for re-scoring, handling and shipping of re-take exams.

• Completed profile needed before CE credit can be awarded: To receive CE credit, each registrant must provide the following to FDA/CE:

1. A completed exam with a passing score.
2. A completed Evaluation Form.
3. Payment in full, for exam fees and any additional shipping, handling or re-take fees that may apply.
